READER'S COMMENT SECTION

Page 12. The Prelude wrap up and the hook for the series - a coming storm and the chill of Evil Magie. Again the fourth wall is broken but also woven into the storyline. If we do it correctly, it will become a story within a story -- a favorite device of stage performances from Shakespear's time on. Note what the Pixie is doing for fun and what Rolfe thinks about just sitting quietly. Is that the Scribe without a name quaffing in the background? The wayside inn is a reference to a famous painting. Does anyone recognize it? Yes, we've loaded more than our fair share of references in this initial volume, but we were having fun with the concept and wanted to make it fun for the informed reader. Good Hunting. -- Robert Stradley and Leslie Dubiel-Stradley - Weekend Artists.
